Can the MailCOPA email program send and receive email through Gmail?

Yes. 

1. Enable POP in your Gmail account.

2. Open the MailCOPA multi user email program.

3. Click the Configuration menu, and select User/Account Details

4. Click on the Incoming Mail Servers section of your account, then click Add New Incoming Mail Server

5. Fill in all necessary fields to include the following information.  The Host Name, pop.gmail.com:995, the Server Type, POP3, your User ID, enter your Gmail username (including @gmail.com), Password, enter your Gmail password.  Make sure you tick Enable collection from this mailbox and This server requires a secure connection (SSL). Options for leaving mail on the Gmail server are available if you require them.

6. Click on the Outgoing Mail Servers (SMTP) section of your account, then click Add New Outgoing (SMTP) Server.

7. Fill in all necessary fields to include the following information.  The Host Name, smtp.gmail.com:465, your Username, enter your Gmail username (including @gmail.com), your Password, enter your Gmail password.  Make sure you tick This server requires as SSL connection.

8. Click on the Email Addresses section of your account, then click Add New Email Address

9. Fill in all necessary fields to include the following information.  Email Address, enter your full Gmail email address (username@gmail.com).  Real Name, enter your name as you would like it to appear in the From: field of outgoing messages.  Outgoing mail server, use the dropdown to select smtp.gmail.com:465 from the list.

10. Finally click OK and close the User/Account details window.  Your Gmail account is now ready within the MailCOPA Multi User Email Client.
